Johann Veldsman

Founder and owner of Shona Outdoor Safaris and Lodging CC, Johann Veldsman, is a renowned professional wildlife photographer and your Pro-Guide on these specialized African Safaris. Johann has actively guided clients over the last 20 years on Photographic Safaris throughout Southern Africa and is also the owner of Ondundu Etosha Lodge, located in the northwestern part of Namibia. He is a registered Namibian dangerous game professional hunter and has great success in using hunting as a conservation tool to manage his own properties over the last 15 years. As Professional Hunter Johann has a keen understanding of animal behaviour. His insight and combined knowledge of nature, wildlife and photography is the key to enriching a client’s overall safari experience.

Johann has extended his portfolio to include sports photography with the main focus being equestrian events as well as product and interior photography for lodges and game/hunting farms.
